SABA-DC’S PUBLIC INTEREST FELLOWSHIP

SABA-DC’s Public Interest Fellowship is available to second and third-year law students who attend a law school in Washington, D.C., Maryland, or Virginia and plan to work in the metropolitan D.C. area (including Baltimore and Annapolis) after graduating law school.

The primary purpose of the Fellowship is to award a stipend that offers rising third-year law students and recent law school graduates financial assistance as they explore or transition to full-time work with a public interest or government organization located in the metropolitan D.C. area. The Fellowship also provides mentoring and networking opportunities to our awardees.

The number of fellowships awarded, as well as the amount of each grant, will be determined by the SABA-DC Fellowship Committee and is based on SABA-DC’s fundraising efforts and the number of quality applications that it receives. SABA-DC has provided grants up to $8,000 per fellow in past years and sponsors several fellows every year.
