Making Sense of the Census Litigation (Co-Sponsored by SABA-DC and APABA-DC)

Litigation over adding a citizenship question to the 2020 Census was one of the most consequential and prominent issues of 2019. Who counts in America? That was the question at the crux of the litigation. Join us for a discussion with Shankar Duraiswamy, lead counsel in Kravitz v. Department of Commerce and partner at Covington & Burling LLP, and Terry Ao Minnis of Asian Americans Advancing Justice about the litigation, the 2020 Census, and its real-world consequences. Special thanks to Covington & Burling LLP for hosting this event.

Light appetizers and refreshments will be provided.

The previous RSVP limit of 70 attendees has been lifted, and the event is now able to accommodate everyone who is interested.

RSVP here and please contact Lloyd Liu or Yifang Zhao at education@apaba-dc.org with any questions.

Date: Tuesday, October 8, 2019

Time: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The discussion will begin at 6:30 p.m.
