  • Wednesday, September 17, 2014
  • 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM
  • Heritage India, 1901 Pennsylvania Ave NW, Washington, DC 20006

Are you interested in practicing law in the areas of foreign affairs, human rights, or national security? How do attorneys help shape the U.S.’s role in the world at a time of numerous international conflicts? To find out, please join SABA-DC for dinner and a conversation with experts doing diverse and important work in these areas.

Our experienced guest speakers will be: Rupa Bhattacharyya, Director of the Office of Constitutional and Specialized Torts Litigation in the Department of Justice's Civil Division; Ashika Singh, Attorney-Adviser at the U.S. Department of State's Office of the Legal Adviser/Political-Military Affairs; and Raha Wala, Senior Counsel for Defense & Intelligence at Human Rights First.

Topics will include their personal career paths; valuable advice on pursuing international law careers in both the private and public sectors; and perspectives on high-profile post-9/11 legal issues such as Guantanamo Bay and the U.S.’s military engagements.

RSVP here if you are able to attend.
